Dr. Eduardo Garcia, a renowned member of our faculty, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our institution. Born on April 3, 1969, in Santa Clara, Cuba, he graduated as a General Practitioner in 1993 from the University of Medical Science Villa Clara. In 1998, he became a Family Medicine Specialist at the same university. During those years, he also completed a Diploma in Geriatrics.
Dr. Garcia’s journey in medicine began at the General Hospital Arnaldo Milian, where he worked for the first three years. He then continued his service for another four years at the Polyclinic Chiqui Gomez.
In 1999, Dr. Garcia came to Belize, embarking on a 24-year journey of healthcare service in various districts. He initially worked at Punta Gorda Hospital in 1999-2000 before moving to Belize City to initiate the GOB project National Health Insurance (NHI). There, he served as a Family Medicine practitioner at the Integral Health Care clinic for six years.
