BELIZE
Located on the north-eastern coast of Central America, Belize is a Caribbean country. The country is bordered by Mexico to the north, the Caribbean Sea to the east, and Guatemala to the west and south. The country has the lowest density of population in Central America. Since Belize is a tropical country with over 40% preserved as parks and natural reserves, studying in Belize offers an exciting educational experience with a diverse range of adventure opportunities.

Besides hospitals and clinics in towns and villages, Belize City has a well-staffed hospital and several private doctors.

Climate
There are two seasons in Belize, the Rainy Season (June to November) and the Dry Season (December to March).

US Central Standard Time is the norm, except during Daylight Savings Time, when Mountain Time Zone is used

Language
English is the official language of the country. Belizeans also speak Spanish.

Currency
Belize dollars is the official currency USD is also widely accepted. BZ$ 2.02 = 1 USD

CCU provides a comprehensive 54-month program to obtain a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. The curriculum covers the essential aspects of medical sciences, clinical skills, and patient care. The medical program at CCUSOM follows a US-modeled curriculum, similar to those offered by an American MD Program.
